Earth Hour Awareness Ride
Event Description :
Cyclone Cycling Club (in short Cyclone) is planning to organise an EARTH HOUR AWARENESS ride on 28th March, 2015 from 6:00 AM onwards in Ahmedabad.
What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change.
On Saturday 27 March, Earth Hour 2010 became the biggest Earth Hour ever. A record 128 countries and territories joined the global display of climate action. People across the world from all walks of life turned off their lights and came together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.
Earth Hour 2015 will take place on Saturday 28 March at 8.30PM (local time).
To create awareness for the same, Cyclone plans to organise a cycle ride in the morning and spread awareness on the streets of Ahmedabad and convince maximum people to take part in the EARTH HOUR taking place on the same night i.e. Saturday 28 March at 8.30PM (local time) .
